Job Description

The Master Scheduler is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the monthly master schedule. It is a planned build schedule in weekly capacity-constrained buckets that is derived from the "Sales and Operations Planning" output. The monthly master schedule is what drives the forecast for purchased materials. Establishing the master schedule will involve working closely with the Demand Managers and Production Control Analysts to coordinate manufacturing plans that achieve the global company objectives relative to customer service, resource/capacity utilization and low inventory investment. You will be onsite in our Richland Center, WI facility. You will report to the Master Production Scheduler Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Production & Inventory Control Managers to thoroughly understand and advise on managing short term/long term capacities to minimize the cause for past due orders and / or overtime.
  • Execute Rough cut capacity planning at the work center level and across business units. Prepare manufacturing plan of orders to be executed in the month and quarter, in alignment with plant's capacity, manufacturing estimated hours and material availability.
  • Monitor inputs utilized for capacity planning (efficiency, utilization, absenteeism) to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordination with S&OP team regarding load, capacity and revenue target alignment and monitor Frontlog to backlog conversion to ensure load alignment vs S&OP plan.
  • Execute date management of pull-in and push-out according to business requirements.
  • Working with the Buyer/ Planners to help balance and coordinate the manufacturing orders based on material/capacity availability. Active communication regarding material availability updates, order dispatch execution and production output.
  • Active communication with Customer Care and PMO Organization regarding order priority management and execution.
  • Working with plant Finance to understand the impact master scheduling has on the plant's financials.
  • Execute Health checks to maintain SAP system accuracy and drive accountability on system management with plants.
  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting the pertinent KPI's, as well as suggest and implement plant-specific improvement activities (i.e. Must monitor actual performance against the MPS and production plan, and provide a summary of operation results for management).

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

  • 2+ years of Supply Chain experience in either procurement, planning, scheduling, etc.
  • Experience with ERP Systems, preferably SAP
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
