The Indirect Commodity Manager (Telecommunications and IT Hardware) will be accountable for implementation of the sourcing strategies using global strategic sourcing teams. You will be responsible for savings productivity based on annual spend within assigned commodities. You will report directly to the Sourcing Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the sourcing strategy using input from global Sourcing Managers and global business leaders.
  • Promote implementation of the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities. The Manager will also establish working relationships within the IT Organization, bringing a strategic sourcing perspective that is incorporated into the IT strategy.
  • Lead and increase results of specific sourcing projects within assigned commodities and must be successful at managing and influencing a team. Frequently will work with peers and customers to gain cooperation of others.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance of the suppliers related to assigned commodities. Assess risk according to global procedures, conduct regular business reviews with suppliers and team members to ensure continuous improvement of the supply base.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting to senior management on goals within the supply chain.
  • Identify and improve productivity improvements by leading joint supplier / unit teams – pursuing TCO reduction opportunities according to the sourcing strategy.
  • Identify strategic sourcing best practices and drive these best practices into the Rockwell strategic sourcing toolkit.
  • Help develop the Annual Operating Plan for assigned commodities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, STEM or related field
  • Advanced English level
  • Minimum three years of experience working in IT procurement, developing supplier strategies and commercial terms with vendors
  • Knowledge of IT commodities –Telecommunications and Hardware
  • Team contributor – comfortable in leading, international and multicultural teams
  • Interpret basic contractual language.
  • With team members and vendors
  • Oriented and project management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, STEM or related field
  • Five years of procurement experience in Telecommunications and IT Hardware; experience in Software and IT Services procurement

Travel: 10% (Domestic & International)
