Job Description

You’ll work on Export and Import initiatives in Rockwell. You will be involve in daily EXIM operation that will deliver productivity. Follow SOP’s , best practices and KPI’s for Export Import operations, so as to comply with and Custom, DGFT(Directorate General of Foreign Trade), MEIT(Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) , BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), LMA(Legal Metrology Act), Origin and Destination Controls. Well verse with foreign trade policies and framework, Liaising with Shippers, Forwarders, Customs House Brokers’ and Bank. Setup HSS, SIB, EOU, and SEZ activities to provide opportunities to Sales and Organisation. Will direct the EXIM operation on new compliance requirement, regulation.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing and maintaining Compliance matters so as to comply with both India and US Rules and Regulations. Conduct quarterly audits and based on findings SOP’s are to re-written.

2. Working avail concessional duty benefits schemes from Foreign Trade Policies so as to establish Advance Authorization to avail Customs Duty befits, redeeming of Advance Authorization.

3. Establishing cost effective Broker Management and defining clear cut KPI’s to perform.

4. Close coordination with AP and Global Transportation team to minimise ATD, DTA and hence DTD time.

5. Establish SOP’s for EXIM activities so as to comply with controls of Origin and Destination.

6. Establish right processes for HSS, SIB, SEZ and EOU business so as to conduct daily business with ease.

7. Managing Government Queries, attending hearings, SCN’s and closing them in time.

8. Matrix communication with Product Business Group, Taxation, Finance, Logistics and Customer care by sharing RA Policy and Procedures, Government Notifications, RA Compliance notifications and ensuring EXIM operations is meeting RA Ethical Standards.

9.To undertake SIX Sigma projects in the area EXIM and establish Cost and Time saving projects.

10. Conducting MBR. QBR to bridge gaps and enhance operations.

11. Ensure that IEC and RCMC, EOU are up-to-date w.r.t Directors and address of Company Branch Codes.

Job related competencies:

  • Updated on Customs, DGFT, MIT, BIS Notifications and to ensure that RA EXIM activities are complying with such notifications.
  • Must be a passionate self-starter and understand the importance of collaboration and communication with all functions to ease out daily operations.
  • Understand the complexity of Customs Rules and Regulations and comply to protect organisation by meeting RA Ethical Standards.
  • Possess communication skill required to take up with matters related to EXIM with Consultant and Government officials.
  • Understand EXIM operations in the area of Manufacturing, Trading activities. Experience in EOU and SEZ operations.
  • Possess analytical skill in analysing DTD behaviour, Spend, Audit & Reviews and updating the SOP’s on timely manner.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, consultant and Government officials to listen, think and act.

Experience & Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/ Commerce or Post-Graduation / MBA from reputable Institution in International Trade is preferrable.
  • Must have experience of minimum 5-9 years in International Trade and Policy & Compliance.
  • Prior experience in EXIM operations in the area of Manufacturing, Trading activities. Experience in EOU and SEZ operations is preferrable.
