You will be a part of the Global Direct Strategic Sourcing Organization within our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) department. You will lead and guide the strategy for procurement across a given set of commodities. You will also work with teams including Quality, Team Teams, Materials, and Logistics. With guidance from the Sourcing Manager, you will develop the sourcing strategy for the assigned commodities and suppliers, using input from the sourcing team and main global/regional team members within the departments. The sourcing strategy will guide the continuous improvement of Rockwell's Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the assigned commodities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities.
- Develop and refine the sourcing strategy (with guidance from the Strategic Sourcing Managers and Director) using input from the sourcing team and main global/regional business leaders within the teams.
- The sourcing strategy will improve the continuous improvement of Rockwell's Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the assigned commodities.
- Once a sourcing strategy has been developed, the Commodity Manager will communicate, and manage your department compliance with the strategy.
- Must be successful at managing and influencing a team.
- The Commodity Manager will be a catalyst for change to achieve our goals and addressing barriers to change.
- On an ongoing basis, the Commodity Manager will remain current on supply market trends, supplier economics, and best practice sourcing.
- Responsible for Global Supplier Management. On an ongoing basis, the Commodity Manager will monitor and evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery, service levels) of all suppliers.
- Conduct regular strategic reviews with suppliers and team members to ensure continuous improvement of the supply base.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Advanced English level.
- +5 years of experience in purchasing, procurment or sourcing.
- Basic knowledge of commodities.
- Manage projects requiring identification of goals, resources and approaches.
- SAP knowledgeand experience.
- You have limited travel to other Rockwell Automation locations to support assigned department segment (20% Domestic & International).
