Job Description
The Facilities & Maintenance Manager manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. This is an onsite position in Cambridge, ON. You will report to the Plant Manager.
Your Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for facilities maintenance, upgrades, expansions and strategic direction
- Responsible for office layouts, construction and capacity planning
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols for staff and 3rd party contractors
- Locate and manage off-site office overload space as required
- Responsible for 3rd party contractors providing services to facility & maintenance of the property
- Responsible for the annual Plant and Property Capital budget planning and execution
- Develop roadmap for facility maintenance and compile budget requirement for management approval
- Identify energy savings initiatives and recurring expense reduction related to facility maintenance
- Drive safe working standards and 5S activity in the area of responsibility
- After hours availability to address critical facility related issues
The Essentials – You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
- Legal authorization to work in CAN is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have:
- 2+ years of experince in facilities and or maintenance
- Maintenance equipment machinery maintenance
- Knowledge of PLC programming understands the PLC Program
- CNC Machinery Knowledge
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Team Player this roles interacts with almost everyone in the plant
