Job Description

We are looking for someone to join the purchasing team in the Lektronix business. The potential Buyer will manage the procurement process for a variety of goods. We are looking for an understanding of market trends, supplier management, to ensure the best value. The Buyer will collaborate with several departments to meet their purchasing needs while maintaining compliance with company procedures.

As a Buyer you will report to Purchasing Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will source and obtain offers from preferred suppliers based on our customers’ and workshop engineers’ needs, together with looking for new sources domestically and internationally
  • You will daily negotiate to secure the best transaction conditions achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • You will place orders and monitor the whole purchasing process (confirmations, payments customs clearance issues, warranty claims)
  • You will monitor and manage inventory levels, especially electronic components.
  • You will collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide support.
  • Follow the ethical standards in compliance with company policies, procedures in all procurement activities.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system, additional knowledge of SAP or JMS system will be an asset.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build long-term relations with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ability to successfully administer multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Open thinking, creativity to find new solutions and improve procurement processes.
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain relationships at different levels of the organizational structure
  • Ability to address and resolve issues related to supply chain and procurement processes.
