Job Description
The Technology Consultant is a deeply technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology, products, services, and solutions within their area(s) of expertise, capable of articulating capability, defining scope and benefits of portfolio to customers. They deliver presales support and are a trusted advisor to the sales organization and channel. They are responsible for technical support in pre-sales activities and support bid offer activities for a specific range of products, services & solutions within a defined geography.
This role reports to the Lifecycle Services business unit and the Regional Cyber Sales Manager and is located in our EMEA region – targeted at the UK.
Your responsibilities – what you will do
- Main focus is to support Verve Security platform
- Deep knowledge of product capabilities and environment, able to navigate demo environment live with customers.
- Meet with customer early in sales cycles to present Verve platform capabilities
- Address and resolve customer questions around the technical and commercial solutions being proposed – with deep technical expertise to support customer’s requests for demos and deeper technical reviews
- Coordinate and collaborate with sellers, application consultants and proposal consultants and broader stakeholders to help facilitate critical information from a customer opportunity to the right teams in RA to develop and quote solutions
The essential – you will have
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering / technical, related field or equivalent
The preferred – you might also have
- Experience in OT cyber security offerings and capabilities
- Experience in customer engagement / facing presentations and communications
- 2+ years pre-sales, direct sales or consulting experience as an estimator, proposal engineer or other contract, project or Technology engineering focused position
- Demonstrated understanding of larger Rockwell Automation Technology value including knowledge in Automation products including PLC, Standard Drives, Software, Networks and ideally good knowledge of third party products
- Good Technology and industry knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to work in a challenging environment with both internal and external customers
- Strong solution and Technology expertise, and related demonstrated sales experience.
- Fluency with native language and strong command of English (written & spoken).
