Job Description

The Senior Systems Engineer, Medium Voltage serves as a primary contact for Rockwell Automation’s customers and will report to our Global Services Manager. They are focused on improving customer relationships by resolving commercial and technical issues. The Senior Systems Engineer works on a variety of commercial and technical issues both independently and with a team. Other activities of the Senior Systems Engineer include:

Leading customer engagements to improve and maintain an efficient and productive manufacturing system through industry and application experience. Provides customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects and instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
  • Evaluate and approve operational quality of system equipment and participate in the establishment, measurement, and achievement of customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Perform project management function for customer projects including needs identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
  • Demonstrate personal leadership for project engineering teams, field service employees, and project support personnel, delivering internal training as part of global competency program.
  • Develop and write documentation as required (validation project plans, standard operating procedures, qualification summary reports, system audits, technical reports, traceability matrix, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to be consistently fully utilized on billable work

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S and Canada.
  • The ability to travel up to 70% of the time.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

  • Prefer eight or more years of experience with Electrical systems and installation.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Drives, Allen-Bradley Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Motor Control Centers, and related products in the Allen-Bradley portfolio of Power products.
  • Prior experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, manufacturing operations, systems integration, or an engineering firm
  • Experience working with all levels of an industrial automation plant (customer) including VPs, plant engineers and OEM machine builders.
  • Sell at the senior management & executive levels and convey Rockwell Automation’s products & services in a manner which demonstrate tangible economic value.
