Job Description

This role will be site based at Wigan. 

You will be working on behalf of the Lifecycle Services business unit, which also offers technical support, training, and manufacturing consultancy through other delivery mechanisms, to help provide complete solutions to their customer’s needs.
 
Within the role you will be embedded on a customer site and play a key role in helping the customer reduce the cost of maintenance on site whilst increasing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Rockwell Automation has an excellent reputation for developing a strategic maintenance approach which can also directly impact the efficiency of the maintenance department.
 
Responsibilities will include:

  • On site professional management of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO).
  • Working with systems that enable the company to track its repairable inventory and apply associated warranty programs.
  • Develop clear working Standard Operating Procedures detailing process flow and operational requirements for day-to-day activities in support of the maintenance and repair operations.
  • Providing a single point of contact for maintenance repairs and asset tracking.
  • Inventory management; the day-to-day running of consignment stock and its reorganization in partnership with the customer.
  • Providing migration, rationalization, and standardization strategies to drive down MRO inventory asset value.
  • Supporting productivity improvements through timely delivery of parts and solutions to the maintenance/engineering teams, whilst providing an overall lower total cost of ownership.
  • Providing monthly financial reports.
  • Work with client departments including plant management, maintenance, engineering, purchasing and distributors to identify and formulate efficiency plans for maintenance.
  • Increase “Out of the box” reliability of spare repairable assets, through the use of extensive internal and external vendor capability.
  • Contractor Management.

What you need to be successful it the role:

  • 5 years of working experience in area of Maintenance / Equipment Asset Management.
  • Availability to work on site in Wigan.
  • Prior client facing experience.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels within the business, both written and verbal.
  •  Ability to work with production, engineering and maintenance departments to achieve an increase in productivity whilst reducing overall maintenance and support costs.
  • A related Engineering qualification is mandatory and proven experience in Rockwell’s Allen Bradley products family is desirable
