Job Description

The Commodity Manager for Regional Professional Services is resposible for leading teams and sourcing projects to find from Regional team members for multiple services and commodities. Main activities to include 1) Manage regional sourcing strategies/reviews for multiple services and responsibilities 2) Achieve year-on-year improvement in total cost, quality, and service while leading regional and global sourcing management activities and leading supplier relationships, 3) Engage with Team and regional facility managers and teams to support a Risk Mitigation program and process that impacts the Rockwell third parties which supports companies Security strategies

Resposibilities:

  • With guidance from the Manager of Sourcing, lead projects and negotiations for several Regional Departments.
  • Promote implementation of the sourcing strategy for multiple assigned engineering projects. Once a sourcing strategy has been developed, the Commodity Manager will communicate and manage process compliance of the strategy. The Commodity Manager will also establish working relationships with other responsibilities (e.g. HR, Finance, Legal , CISO, Suppliers and Supplier Quality), bringing a Strategic Sourcing perspective to all main processes.
  • Lead strategic sourcing teams. The Commodity Manager will lead and improve results of specific strategic sourcing strategies within the LATAM regional Services and Commodities. This role must be successful at managing and influencing a team. The Commodity Manager will be a catalyst for change to achieve our goals and addressing barriers to change.
  • Develop an expertise in the corporate functions such as Engineering Design, Finance, HR, Legal, and Supply Chain and relative to their needs and capabilities for commodities and services. The Commodity Manager partners with teams and responsibilities to understand their goals and creates strategies to achieve desired our results. On an ongoing basis, the Commodity Manager will remain current on service and supply market trends, supplier economics, and best practice sourcing.
  • Responsible for Regional Supplier Management. The Commodity Manager will monitor and evaluate supplier performance around security, quality, delivery, lead time of all suppliers. Conduct regular strategic reviews with suppliers and team members to ensure continuous improvement of the supply base.
  • Measure performance on Sourcing Indicators within each commodity or service. The Commodity Manager will be responsible for monthly reporting to senior management on goals within the supply chain. These Indicators may include savings, quality, delivery, lead time, market trends.
  • Implement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities for assigned commodities / services. Within the function, the Commodity Manager will promote annual productivity improvements by leading internal and joint supplier/unit teams pursuing TCO reduction opportunities according to the sourcing strategy (e.g. professional services, security expectations, improving supplier operations, demand management, improving supply chain flexibility).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Minimum five years of experience working in similar position.
  • Knowledge of services commodities.
  • Team contributor – comfortable in leading, international and multicultural teams
  • Interpret basic contractual language.
  • And enthusiasm.
  • Oriented and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
