Job Description

We are looking for an engaged professional for an open position we have as Remote Support Associate Engineer based in Colombia, reporting to the Remote Support Supervisor. Your daily activities are focused on providing technical support to a portfolio of contract customers on industrial automation software. You will be office based with some visits to customer sites or other Rockwell offices.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction to resolve complex issues and implement new technologies, identifying fresh business opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging systems.
  • Respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
  • Report design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
  • May be involved in customer installation and training.
  • Provide support to customer/users where the product is technical.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Experience in Windows troubleshooting and/or designing for supporting and assisting virtual environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or any other related area of technology.
  • Advanced English level (interviews will be in English).
  • Willingness for learning and adapting yourself according to the business and area needs.
  • Skills for building strong partnership with colleagues, partners and external customers.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

  • Experience troubleshooting and designing software.
  • Knowledge about programming language (VBA, Python, JAVA, among others).
  • Experience or knowledge about the industrial automation sector.
