Job Description

As a Project Engineer, you will be involved in challenging projects that require an understanding of automation systems and industry best practices. You will design, implement, and maintain solutions that increase process efficiency and improve operational performance. You will work closely with teams to ensure successful project delivery, meeting tight deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform system engineering and field services for automation process control projects based on Distributed Control Systems (DCS), programmable controllers, drives, motor control centers, operator/field device, instrumentation.
  • Design moderate to complex architectures, and prepares studies and analyzes existing systems.
  • This includes system design, system engineering, software programming, factory and site testing. Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies. Develop and recommend corrective actions.
  • Attend to process automation projects of PlantPAx DCS, Logix systems, PowerFlex drives, FactoryTalk View, Historian, AssetCentre platforms.
  • Be a contributing part of a project team, with to accommodate t o changes and accept challenges. Profile which main activities will be to implement engineering, design, programming, testing and site services

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Automation/Electronics/Electrical or Chemistry or Technology or equivalent. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in DCS systems development. Leaded and participated in complex projects on the Process Industry 
  • RA Products experience (PlantPAx, Logix, Drives, Software, Industrial components) 
  • Site installation and commissioning leading experience, including mounting and electrical subcontractors’ management. 
  • Advanced English language communication – oral and written 
  • Willing and able to travel and work at customer sites when needed. Travel can vary on assignment but can typically average between 50 – 60% 

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

  • Process Safety experience (SIS, ESD, F&G, BMS) 
  • TUV or ISA Certification on Process Safety ( differentiator) 
  • Experience with VMWare environments / networking and industrial communications protocols; 
  • Project Management experience best practices.
